Desir Arman has already watched his world collapse. Sent thirteen years into the past, he returns to Hebrion Academy with memories of the catastrophe and a chance to prepare his companions before it happens again.
Desir’s return and a second chance
Desir and the last survivors of the Shadow Labyrinth defeat a dragon, only for its final explosion to threaten them all. Instead of dying, Desir wakes on the day of his academy entrance test, thirteen years earlier.
He finds Romantica alive again and recognizes Pram, another companion from his lost future. Hebrion divides students into privileged Alpha and disadvantaged Beta classes. Desir’s magical analysis lets him dismantle stronger spells, but being a commoner still places him in Beta.
Romantica and Pram earn their place
Desir forms a party with the wind mage Romantica and the swordsman Pram. He improves their teamwork and helps Pram return to the lightweight rapier that suits his speed. Their immediate goal is promotion: the ranking tournament gives Beta students a route into Alpha.
They confront the elite Blue Moon party, including the ice mage Azest. Romantica and Pram overcome Doneta and Percival, while Desir analyzes the artificial Shadow World and clears it. All three earn promotion, challenging the academy’s assumptions about commoners.
The Season 1 ending: Kraiken and the coming Shadow World
Desir’s future knowledge warns him that the Outers will steal the Tear of Regernel, a powerful magic gem. He brings his party to protect it and defeats their leader, Kraiken, by breaking down his spells and reversing his transformation into a magical beast.
After protecting the gem, Desir meets the great mage Zod. Azest leaves Blue Moon and joins Desir’s party. The four train for an approaching Shadow World and are deployed when it appears. Desir has changed their opportunities, but averting the future disaster remains his larger task.
